How it is built
- Five notes: the minor scale without its 2nd and 6th. No half steps, so every note works over F♯m, and most work over a blues in F♯.
- A is the flat third and E the flat seventh. Those two notes are the minor sound; bend E up to F♯ to resolve a phrase.
- Same notes as A major pentatonic, three frets higher.
