How it is built
- Five notes: the minor scale without its 2nd and 6th. No half steps, so every note works over Fm, and most work over a blues in F.
- A♭ is the flat third and E♭ the flat seventh. Those two notes are the minor sound; bend E♭ up to F to resolve a phrase.
- Same notes as A♭ major pentatonic, three frets higher.
