How it is built
- Five notes: the minor scale without its 2nd and 6th. No half steps, so every note works over C♯m, and most work over a blues in C♯.
- E is the flat third and B the flat seventh. Those two notes are the minor sound; bend B up to C♯ to resolve a phrase.
- Same notes as E major pentatonic, three frets higher.
