How it is built
- A major scale with a flat 7th: C♭ instead of C. Seven notes.
- C♭ takes away the leading tone, so the scale does not pull home. That is why it fits a dominant 7th chord and most blues and rock vamps.
- Same notes as G♭ major, started from its fifth degree.
