How it is built
- Five notes: the minor scale without its 2nd and 6th. No half steps, so every note works over Dm, and most work over a blues in D.
- F is the flat third and C the flat seventh. Those two notes are the minor sound; bend C up to D to resolve a phrase.
- Same notes as F major pentatonic, three frets higher.
